Executive Director

Dr. Drew Oliveira joined the Alliance in August 2022 as its fourth executive director since it was founded in 2004. Oliveira, who started his career as a family medicine physician at Sea Mar Community Health Center in Seattle, has nearly four decades of experience in medicine and health plan leadership.

Before joining the Alliance, Oliveira served as Regence BlueShield of Washington’s Senior Executive Medical Director and Population Health. He previously held senior roles with Aetna Inc. Prior to joining Aetna, Oliveira practiced medicine for more than 17 years at UW Medicine Valley Medical Center in Renton.  

Oliveira’s connection to the Alliance dates back to its founding. He is a former member of the Alliance’s board of directors and has been involved in various committees, most recently serving as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee. 

Oliveira earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Washington. Oliveira completed his family medicine residency at Swedish Hospital Medical Center.
