WHA Welcomes 8 New Directors to Board

The Washington Health Alliance has welcomed eight new members to its board in recent months, adding decades of health care experience and a wealth of new ideas and energy to our 21-member board of directors.

Amid the evolution of our board, including the departure of some longtime leaders, we are excited to announce these new additions.

Those newly added to the board are:

  • Chris Bredeson, Chief Operating Officer, EvergreenHealth
  • John Bry, Chief Financial Officer, Kaiser Permanente of Washington
  • Blythe Keller, VP of Sales & Service, Public & Labor, West, Aetna, a CVS Company
  • Heather Krueger, Deputy Director of Citywide Benefits, City of Seattle
  • Zak Ramadan-Jradi, Head of Network Management & Strategy, Regence BlueSheild of Western Washington
  • Steve Schramm, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, MultiCare Connected Care, LLC
  • Laura Kate Zaichkin, Director of Market Competition & Affordability, Washington Health Benefit Exchange
  • Judy Zerzan-Thul, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Washington State Health Care Authority

To learn more about each of the new board members, please visit the board of directors section of our website.

As some directors have departed, including the director of the Washington Health Care Authority who left her role following the election of a new governor, they have made way for new members either from their organization or from elsewhere within our membership.

Recent departures include former Chair Curt Bailey of Bloodworks NW, former Vice Chair John Wagner of Aetna, former Chair Larry McNutt of Northwest Administrators, former Treasurer Laura Reding of SEIU 775 Benefits Group, Ingrid Ulrey of Washington State Benefits Exchange, Carla Costa Sandine of Kaiser Permanente Washington, Lee Mills McGrath of Premera and Sue Birch of the Washington State Health Care Authority.
