Introducing the new Own Your Health website

The Alliance is pleased to announce the launch of its newly enhanced Own Your Health website. The Own Your Health campaign empowers Washington consumers to become active participants in their own health and health care. Thanks to a generous grant from the Washington State Health Care Authority’s Healthier Washington initiative, the Alliance has redesigned the Own Your Health website to feature the Savvy Health Care Shopper campaign, educating consumers on how to find value in health care.

The new site is launching in time for that common fall activity: Open Enrollment. The website offers information and resources to help your employees or members understand what they should know to select a health plan and get high quality care and a good experience at a fair price. The new Own Your Health website features:

    • Updated design and expanded topics
  • New secure site for members
  • Partner pages with curated content
  • Ongoing updates with new, custom content
  • Articles and resources to help your employees or members understand how to get high quality care and a good experience at a fair price.

As a benefit of membership, Alliance purchaser members can choose to direct their employees or members to a customized page on the site. They can also access and customize supportive print materials like posters and handouts.

Please take time to visit the site, which we will be updating with fresh content on a regular basis. We welcome any feedback or comments that you may have.

About Washington Health Alliance

The Washington Health Alliance is a place where stakeholders work collaboratively to transform Washington state’s health care system for the better. The Alliance brings together organizations that share a commitment to drive change in our health care system by offering a forum for critical conversation and aligned efforts by stakeholders: purchasers, providers, health plans, consumers and other health care partners. The Alliance believes strongly in transparency and offers trusted and credible reporting of progress on measures of health care quality and value. The Alliance is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 185 member organizations. A cornerstone of the Alliance's work is the Community Checkup, a report to the public comparing the performance of medical groups, hospitals and health plans and offering a community-level view on important measures of health care quality (www.wacommunitycheckup.org).
