Karen Johnson at Cambia Grove’s Optimizing Incentives Summit on June 8-9

Cambia Grove’s spring 2020 Paying for Health series brought global, national, and community thought leaders to the virtual stage to discuss how to improve health outcomes and how to align stakeholder incentives with those outcomes. During its Incentivizing Health Hackathon, a wide variety of stakeholders came together to develop care and payment models that align incentives with a lifetime of health.

The Optimizing Incentives Summit on June 8th and 9th will build on that work to address the barriers in the health care system through a candid look at the past, present, and future with a focus on aligning incentives. Alliance Director of Performance Improvement and Innovation Karen Johnson will participate in the 5 Points of Health Care Panel Discussion: Where Does the Money Go? A system-wide look at the current state of incentives in health care on June 8th at 11:30 am PT.

About Washington Health Alliance

The Washington Health Alliance is a place where stakeholders work collaboratively to transform Washington state’s health care system for the better. The Alliance brings together organizations that share a commitment to drive change in our health care system by offering a forum for critical conversation and aligned efforts by stakeholders: purchasers, providers, health plans, consumers and other health care partners. The Alliance believes strongly in transparency and offers trusted and credible reporting of progress on measures of health care quality and value. The Alliance is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 185 member organizations. A cornerstone of the Alliance's work is the Community Checkup, a report to the public comparing the performance of medical groups, hospitals and health plans and offering a community-level view on important measures of health care quality (www.wacommunitycheckup.org).
