MPIRICA Health Analytics and City of Kirkland join the Alliance

This month, we’re excited to welcome two new members to the Alliance: MPIRICA Health Analytics and the City of Kirkland. MPIRICA is an up-and-coming health analytics firm and we are excited to have them join the conversation. The City of Kirkland joins our other public purchaser members who bring the perspective of a public purchasing organization to the work of health care system transformation. Both will help us continue to deliver on our mission building a strong alliance among patients, doctors, hospitals, purchasers, health plans and others to promote health and improve quality and affordability by reducing overuse, underuse and misuse of health care services.

MPIRICA Health Analytics

Based in Bellevue, Washington, MPIRICA was founded in 2014 to demystify health care quality transparency for consumers, with an intuitive measurement of hospitals based on past performance, at a surgical procedure level.

About Washington Health Alliance

The Washington Health Alliance is a place where stakeholders work collaboratively to transform Washington state’s health care system for the better. The Alliance brings together organizations that share a commitment to drive change in our health care system by offering a forum for critical conversation and aligned efforts by stakeholders: purchasers, providers, health plans, consumers and other health care partners. The Alliance believes strongly in transparency and offers trusted and credible reporting of progress on measures of health care quality and value. The Alliance is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 185 member organizations. A cornerstone of the Alliance's work is the Community Checkup, a report to the public comparing the performance of medical groups, hospitals and health plans and offering a community-level view on important measures of health care quality (www.wacommunitycheckup.org).
