Supporting New Civitas Leadership

The Washington Health Alliance is participating in the leadership of Civitas Networks for Health. Alliance Executive Director Nancy Giunto is joining the 2022 Nominating Committee to select the new Civitas Board of Directors which will replace the current transition board starting on January 1, 2023.  The transition board was put into place when Civitas was created through the merger of two organizations last October—Network for Regional Health Improvement and Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative.

Giunto said, “Health improvement collaboratives play an integral part in improving our health care system across the country—they make it possible for health care professionals, purchasers, payers, and patients to advance data-driven progress. Aligning our efforts is the only way we are going to drive change and I’m proud to participate in the Nominating Committee to support Civitas’ successful future.”

Civitas is a national collaborative comprised of member organizations working to use health information exchange, health data, and multi-stakeholder, cross-sector approaches to improve health. Civitas represents more than 95% of the United States, educating, promoting, and influencing the private sector and policy makers on matters of interoperability, quality, coordination, health equity, and cost-effectiveness of health care.
