Welcome new members International Community Health Services and Woodcreek Healthcare

This month, we’re excited to welcome two new members: International Community Health Services and Woodcreek Healthcare. Thanks to the support of our members, the Alliance is able to produce the Community Checkup and move the needle toward a more transparent and high-quality health system.

International Community Health Services

International Community Health Services (ICHS) is a nonprofit community health center that offers affordable health care services to Seattle and King County’s Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities, as well as other underserved communities. For over 40 years, ICHS has provided culturally-appropriate and multilingual care to improve the health of our community. ICHS began in 1973 as a small storefront clinic in Seattle’s International District. Today it is the largest Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community health center in Washington state.

They have serving east Pierce County since 1979. About Washington Health Alliance

The Washington Health Alliance is a place where stakeholders work collaboratively to transform Washington state’s health care system for the better. The Alliance brings together organizations that share a commitment to drive change in our health care system by offering a forum for critical conversation and aligned efforts by stakeholders: purchasers, providers, health plans, consumers and other health care partners. The Alliance believes strongly in transparency and offers trusted and credible reporting of progress on measures of health care quality and value. The Alliance is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 185 member organizations. A cornerstone of the Alliance's work is the Community Checkup, a report to the public comparing the performance of medical groups, hospitals and health plans and offering a community-level view on important measures of health care quality (www.wacommunitycheckup.org).
